Since 2001 we have been working with green gold miners Oro Verde in Colombia anticipating and developing the standards for fairtrade gold. The Fairtrade and Fairmined gold mark is now a reality, but we go above and beyond this criteria, sourcing the gold for our jewellery from mines where the environment is respected and then restored, and uses no chemicals in the extraction. Gold mined to this environmental standard is classed as Ecological Fairtrade and Fairmined, the miners receive an extra environmental premium, our jewellery receives the Ecological Stamp and the environment receives the care it deserves.»
