Annabel Panes

Annabel Panes has created beautiful collections during her time as CRED Jewellery’s head of design. She has a passionate desire to create long-lasting designs that benefit the environment, the miner and the consumer. Whilst working with CRED she learnt first hand the processes required to create beautiful, socially and environmentally responsible jewellery. This insight enabled her to create for CRED a wider and more comprehensive wedding ring and engagement ring collection that now includes a greater spectrum of ethical stones and colours, available in a wider range of designs.
Annabel studied at the renowned Sir John Cass jewellery school, where she focused on ethical design processes, while gaining a comprehensive understanding of how to make and design jewellery. Her studies, combined with over 4 years commercial experience of working in the jewellery trade, have given her a holistic understanding of the industry.

With a background in Art History Annabel recognises the importance of design and aesthetics. This insight has helped shape her designs and enabled her to discerningly select the pieces that now make up CRED’s collections. This aesthetic focus has played a significant role in the plans for our future product development as she continues to search for beautiful, ethical jewellery for CRED to showcase. Annabel’s dream is to work alongside other designers to create beautiful collections and to encourage them to address the ethical issues that surround the production of their work.
