I personally was pleased to find a such a nice ring in fair trade white gold.  Since, and it sounds like a cliche, the only blood I want on my hands is that of a consenting opponent. We buy fair trade coffee, chocolate, olive oil etc etc and make ethical choices where we can, and since the rings are something we wear to remind us of our happiness together, its nice to be able to do it without even the hint of a guilty conscience.
